Ko-Klee-Ko Story
Coquelicots (pronounced "ko-klee-ko") is the name en français for the orange-red poppies found in the French southern countryside. Since World War I, poppies have been used to commemorate soliders who have died in the line of duty. The shabby chic aesthetic is inspired by the countryside: a comfortable, casual vintage style. Shabby chic balances old and new.

It's an ongoing search for the perfect furniture candidates--- wood pieces in great condition and with French character, waiting for their color transformation using a chalk paint and distressing method. Picking from a range of soft to vibrant chalk paint colors, this Mom's work now begins. The chalk paint process utilizes specialty brushes and techniques, and is completed by a protective wax finish.
